SHAKE YOUR RAG DOLL BABY! Oasis have announced details of the summer UK dates for 2009 this afternoon (October 16) at Wembley Stadium. After a quick photocall on the pitch, the band's leader Noel Gallagher hosted a question and answer session at the English football stadium confirming the band will play that venue twice, along with two special hometown gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park next year. Support at the shows will come from Kasabian and The Enemy. Gallagher said: "Looking at the bill, I think these are going to be the gigs of next year, if not the decade for a certain demographic. "I'm just glad I can get tickets. These are the gigs that people remember, they meet future wives. I give thanks that we're headlining it and not some heritage act on before a bunch of kids." Oasis will play the following shows: Manchester Heaton Park (June 6, 7) Sunderland Stadium Of Light (10) Cardiff Millennium Stadium (12) Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium (17) Dublin Slane Castle (20) London Wembley Stadium (July 11, 12) Tickets for the shows go on sale on October 24 at 10am. COME ON! OFFICIALLY BIGGER THAN THE POPE! HE ONLY DID ONE NIGHT AT HEATON PARK HAHA

do i win a prize for telling you all about this back in August?? thecourteeners.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=otherbands&action=display&thread=530&page=4SNORTING AND CAVORTING - the forum for Oasis Exclusives I can't confirm if this rumour is true or not, but there's whispers (, chinese?!) that Manchester City Council is in talks to arrange some sort of "Manchester Music Festival" and Oasis will be headling this. One of the venues being considered is Heaton Park, but there's other large park type areas also being looked at. No idea how true this is, but I heard it from a mate of a mates' credible-ish source. ;D So watch this space... perhaps!

Yay, shame bout the support. Suppose that would be a good double headliner for some, with Kasabian supporting, didn't think that they supported anyone anymore.

To be honest I'm going to be looking forward to this more than any gig I have ever been to I think the only thing possible of topping this is a Stone Roses reunion.

I can't wait personally! Might as well enjoy Oasis while I can and while they are on the best form they've been on in a long time, before I'm too old and cantankerous to appreciate standing in a field all day

Some of us did our share of standing in fields back in 1996, it offers no excitment to one so old.....enjoy getting ripped off with beer and food and chuck a bottle of piss at that waste of spunk for me!!!

I was at the Press conference and went onto the Holoow turf at Wembley this afternoon to film them. Was amazing!!! Never been that close with the boys.
I was in line to ask noel a question but they cut the press conference short, was gutted. At least I know for def they aint going to Glasto.
Their management gave me a free album and programme from the gig tonight. Buzzing!
