Piano - years of lessons at a high cost for me parents - but haven't played in years - did up to grade 5 so reckon could pick it up again easily enough....but it'sa bit difficult when you don't have a piano in your house! One day though!

I did piano when I were younger for about 18 months and nearly got grade 1, but I failed and quit. The lessons were so expensive, it were like over a tenner for a 1 hour lesson, can't believe I ever let me parents pay that.

My parents paid that for half an hour...for two of us for 5 years plus extra for me to the GCSE....me dad is a very mellow mannered guy but mention the piano and the fact that niether me or me sis will play at christmas and he gets slightly annoyed!

any of the budding songwriters on here going to give us a preview of their work? I would, but like I've said before on previous threads, (don't know if you were about or anything) but I'm a big pussy and I'am scared that you might think they're shit, I don't think they are but you might. I will put them up one day when I'm a little more confident.

Fair doos mate. I can understand that.
I remember Liam saying he writes for himself, so doesnt care if anyone else thinks its shit. As long as he thinks its good that is enough for him. Selfish writing I think he called it.
So only when your ready post it. I am sure any 'negative' (if any) comments will be constructive.

There wont be any snide comments trust me No one on here is like that and if there are we can soon f**k them off Have a look at poets corner, I posted some right shite on there, it was just a bit of fun (not saying your songs are!!) But other peoples encouragement and comments MIGHT help, or you can take no notice at all!! It might give you some confidence, its up to you!!

Chezza I know what you mean about expensive lessons....mine were £12 for half an hour and when I forgot my clarinet I felt well guilty! My teacher was dead good tho and he only got like £6 of the money cause the shitting government used to take it off them for some reason cause it was through school He used to try and flod me cd's of his quartet tho ...obv wanted some extra dosh!
