"Written by one of Harpurhey's most famous sons - Anthony Burgess - Clockwork Orange is, without a doubt, one of the greatest novels of the 20th century.
It was, of course, adapted into an infamous film made by the late, great Stanley Kubrick.
There were 21 chapters in the book but in America the publishers took it upon themselves to leave out the final chapter and then Stanley Kubrick (who later claimed he wasn't aware that the 'true' version of the book has 21 chapters) also failed to use it in the film.
The 21st Chapter is important because it shows the main character Alex's remorse for all the extremely naughty and horrible stuff he's done and he has a 'should have done things differently' attitude.
It was partly the inspiration behind our rather top tune 'Not Nineteen Forever'.
Also, it was why we put our song 'Acrylic' on our album St. Jude after we'd considered leaving it off. It was too important to leave out."
(Liam Fray.)

So that would explain that the chapter 21 thing then! This is from an interview/article that a mate of mine has sent me from a publication he works for, Urban Life.
