Tbh people nar days are far to quick to get on the back on the NME they do a lot of good for music how many NME tours have you been to I have been to a few how many NME stages are at Festivals ect.

True, and I'm all for that side of it and the NME is a great promotor for many bands and I'm a big fan of the NME.COM site. However, I do have a lot of obvious qualms with the journalism itself, and even if they're not offending bands I like I disagree with how it is they review things, the term review used very loosely, and how the NME on the whole changes its perception and thought and opinion on bands all too frequently and quickly, even within the same writers and the NME on the whole as a body of work |

Believe you me - when you're in Australia and love all things English, you take your UK music where you can get it .....hence me going to see the Wombats soon! Now if only the Courteenrs would get themselves over here...!!! |
