I've been on my last.fm account today and had a look and read of The Courteeners page and a bit of marketing for the t-shirt.
It does seem that the band are really getting noticed outside the UK. Japan and Australia seem to be ahead of the rest. With all the international festival appearances to be played I'm sure they will continue their leap to the big time.
I noticed a couple of other festivals not on the bands myspace yet, the Fiji Rock Festival in Japan on 26th July and the Taubertal Festival in Germany on 8th August. I'm sure these are confirmed or why would they be on the actual festival line-ups?
The lads are really going for it this summer and will keep me busy making flyers for each one ;D

I must stop pressing modify instead of quote, sorry amber. Thanks for the offer, let's hope they do! Could you give the members a bit more... • How popular are The Courteeners in the Netherlands? • Is the album widespread? • What has the press coverage been like? Anything like that and regular posts in here on the band's progress in your country would be much appreciated

Too right bnb! I had a look on their myspace comments and noticed the growing number of worldwide friends! So a European tour would be their next step to cracking the US

Just been looking through the pages and noticed this never took off! It's been a while since I last posted and said "So a European tour would be their next step to cracking the US". Well, with the festival dates kind of European orientated and as far as I have seen, they were a great success but is anyone willing to share the popularity of the band in their country? Give us Brits some knowledge of their success in your area or the whole nation. Now and again I notice members from overseas joining us but tell us how you got into them etc
