Yeah I hate it when bands bleed there albums dry. You just stop listening to them then because your hear all the songs on the radio.
The next one will be better than St Jude, I already have a slight semi!!

Time to resurrect this!
I don't think anyone has quoted this yet:
From the Daily Star Online > Playlist > By Kim Dawson
No mention if they are for the next album from Liam, so why the headline?

When they did the on line chat I asked Liam if they had any tunes left over from the St Jude sessions!
He said they had seven left (I think). He's a prolific song writer, he'll have the next album planned already.
I think the next one will be out around .12 months after St Jude. My moneys on another single out in November/ December and and an album in March

Yeah, my bet is on a single release around January and a record out in March, it seems likely, depends when they get recording though, Streety on the job again?

No need to hold back, if they've got the material then record it and fucking get it out, I can't see any more singles before a new album, and it wouldn't suprise me if it was out for January, which I hope it is, I also hope it's proper rock and roll, and no quiet acoustic songs like St Jude, just full on rock n roll madness.

The acoustic stuff is brilliant. Love that they have an acoustic version to every single. It's like one for every mood.

I like the acoustic stuff, but I just don't think it fitted in well with the rest, that's all.

I love the accoustic songs as well. It is certainly different from a lot of todays 'up and coming bands' who go all out for the fast upbeat tempo songs that sounds pretty much the same. It gives another dimention to the band if you like. Makes it interesting.
I imagine the 2nd album will sound pretty similar to the first one. With the Arctic Monkeys second album, you could tell they had evolved, moved on from the sound from the first album pretty much. The second one was darker. The third one, if they end up working with Josh from Queens of the Stone Age, is going to be even darker. I dont see that happening with the Courteeners, and why should it?! Their style has made all of us fans, and plenty of others. They will improve as musicians I am sure.
I am going to go against the general theme again and say I dont really want any more songs like 'That kiss' on the album. I know he said it is the best song he has ever written, but I dont agree. That subject matter has been touched on so many times. I like the song but find it a little boring, the subject that is. Some original subject matters that we can all still relate to would be good, just like the first album.
Hope that makes sense, iv just watched the footy and had a few beers and cant really be bothered to read through my waffle.
