Reet come on, what do we all expect from this? St Jude's barely had time to enjoy the sale rail at Woolworths yet but its still a good time to ask Any ideas?

I reckon that the next one will be better than St Jude and I also think the third album will be better than the second. I don't think Liam's hit his peak as a song writer yet, theres loads of better tunes to come from him. I think it will take time for him to find his 'groove', 'stride' whatever but I don't think we have heard the best of them by a long way. SO NO PRESSURE THEN!!!

Im unsure One thing I hope is that public interest doesn't waver. A lot of bands these days lose loads of their public interest after the 2nd/3rd album if it doesn't got onto make them massive, people write them off Hope it won't happen with the Courteeners, and I sort of share fastfuse's point of view but am unsure

yh i agree mate, there's a chance that the courteeners will end up slipping into that category of bands having a great first album success and then fading into nothingness with a poor second album. Obviously there's also a [pretty massive!] chance of them releasing an even better second album, and joing the likes of the arctics and eventually oasis =D

'KEEP THE FAITH BROTHERS!!'... He's too good a song writer to go down the toilet. Oasis and the Monkeys are that big that it wouldn't matter if they never recorded again. They have both left there mark and recorded albums that will stand the test of time. Liam Fray or The Courteeners will be around for a long time!!

I hope so I miss the monkeys and Courteeners are only thing that fills the void - everything else is either okish or a pile of poo...

Yeah I'd have thought so.
They will most likely be adding new songs to their setlist in the October tour, then probably another tour early '09 ready for the album

might do an arctic monkeys and get the album out in under a year - mid 09 or summit like that
that'd be great if that was the case
