I'm Diane from New York City. I just saw the band seven times in the States with Morrissey. I'm just hoping they come around solo again some time soon. I got a signed copy of St. Jude at the Morrissey show and I'm loving it. The front artwork is incredible. Here are some shots that I took at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City recently.

Hello all, my name's Erin and I came here via a random message in my myspace inbox this morning. I learned of the band when I learned of the latest Morrissey tour. It took all of five seconds on their Myspace before I realized I absolutely loved their sound and I'd like to think I was the person singing along the most once I finally got a chance to see them here in my hometown of Milwaukee on April 3rd. I bought the signed copy of the CD immediately after the show, and I really wished I could have afforded more dates to of seen more!! As far as me, I'm 26 and live in Wisconsin here in the States. We're about two hours north of Chicago--that or Happy Days is how people know of Milwaukee for the most part. Sadly there isn't a lot of music exposure around these parts, but somehow I've been in love with music my entire life that I find out -after- hearing it is from England. I'm an avid Morrrissey/Smiths fan that used to spend far too much time on the 'official' Morrissey forums back when Quarry came out and stemming from my love of all that is Moz I got introduced into all that was The Libertines and all that is now Pete. Despite all the shit talking, I love every song that he's involved with and I try to do all I can to promote Babyshambles bass player Drew McConnell to be far, far into a far more prolific solo career. Music is definately my first love. I play a bit of guitar, but hardly enough to pass--had an ex 'teach' me but he'd grab for the guitar every time I played even though he had seven more he could have used instead of my ol acoustic I love so dearly (altho my Ibanez is not too shabby either). I write a bit, but can't sing a lick so the writing stays where it stays. My second love is definately art, especially digital art. I hand sketch and paint a bit, but could not imagine what I do with life if I did not have Adobe Photoshop to fall back on. I do everything from fanart to free album and novel art to local writers and bands so that I can get my name out there. I didn't grow up in a house where college was a consideration and have no money for school (I've tried and gotten accepted to a few art schools, but no money out there) so I'm kinda taking the DYI route into my passions. My day job is an office manager at DME. DME means we sell medical equipment like power wheelchairs and the like to the disabled. It's fulfilling because you help people, but it gives a unique perspective seeing so many in their twilight hours. It barely pays my bills, living alone for the first time in life--but I don't need much so I'm happy with having a little. I'm also big into movies and watch more tv than I should. I don't go to many shows unless they are for friend's local bands and the like because I'm so skint for the most part. I'm an utter anglophile and am desperate to someday make it to England (mainly to the place where my father was born and spent the first decade of his life in the south). And I babble a lot...which you've all probably already gathered. If anyone ever needs an icon or banner or wallpaper or anything I'm happy to take requests, just ask! For the most part, while I can be brutally honest and opinionated I like to think I'm a nice person

Ignore them cemetrygatecrasher, like Ian Park I've read some of your posts and I'm suprised America has produced people with such a level of intelligance "America that brought you the hamburger, well America you know where you can shove your hamburger"

Lol at the post Ian. Fair play, not read your posts yet but I think we've only ever had one American to stay on here for a period of time and they didn't seem to do much, so it's a change.

Oh I knew it wasn't too bad! Yes, I am American and yes I am actually female. (Hahaha) While I can lie well, I lost any desire for it a long time ago so now I'm obnoxiously honest. But I assure you, I'm utterly unloveable What's all this anti USA stuff? I thought the deal was we give you Obama, you love us again? TOTALLY kidding. I'm used to it--most of my friends online are English, Aussie, Swedish, etc.... We've brought good things, though.....um....well, there was....you know....oh....hell.... I'll get back to you on this.
