My name's Si if you're thinking we've met at a gig or somethin? Used to be with a fella called Dave with big ginger hair at most of the earlier gigs in Manchester.

i've only seen them twice, at d:percussion and supporting the coral in oxford, but i've seen liam solo quite a few times i don't live near manchester i'm all the way down in reading so it's hard to get up for gigs. They didn't play the Oxford gig, it was Northern Uproar.

hmm four times so far, that's because of their habit of announcing gigs while i have something planned. examples... maccabees when courteeners were playing academy 2, arctic monkeys when they're doing the winter wonderland thing and bloc party/cribs when they're playing ritz. first time i saw them was when they played with towers of london, got free tickets through their myspace that was okay but not many courteeners fans. after the set we got to talk to liam at the side of the stage and then cambell near the bar. second time was academy 3 which was really good. then d:percussion which involved 7 hours waiting around for them. then the other week i got on the guest list for the xfm. when we got to the roadhouse we realised you needed ID and were gutted. then luckily the courteeners came out so i talked to liam and he gave us his guest pass and one of his mates had a spare one so we got in, was lucky. have a bit of memorabilia now with his guest pass

apart from the Cribs that is.... The Jarman boys are the undisputed best live act around. Liverpool Barfly this year was my gig of the year. As for courteeners, seen them three times. D:Percussion, Apollo and Ritz. Jumped up wankerish manc band small minded loyalty stopped me liking them for a good few months before that.

Dunno really mate, I'm pretty broad minded when it comes to music but for some reason I sort of closed off from all other manc bands as I thought my mates band (hawthorns) were the best around and got pissed off that others were getting deals when they weren't.
Like I said, load of rubbish really but that's the way it was.
By the way, not sure if any of you have heard them before but Hawthorns are currently in the studio and the new demos theyre recording sound shit hot. Ignore the myspace, the proper demos will be done by around March time.
