as 2011 edges closer, looking back on 2010 what was your courteener's highlight, for me, it's been a class year, hard to pick just one, so a few in brief, hearing falcon on day of release (and since), rome circolo degli, camden roundhouse, glasgow barrowlands, i could say more, but you get the general idea.

Where to even begin, this year has been absoloutely superb. Queuing up at 6AM for Ruby Lounge tickets (someone was in luck with our camp chairs), the Ruby Lounge gig itself (and being deaf for 2 days afterwards), release of Falcon, March tour (honourable mentions Liverpool and Hull), pickled eggs, the Philarmonic Pub, CAMRA maps, London Roundhouse (seeing the highs and the absoloute lows of London accomodation), Salford Lads Club, December tour (every date very special), breaking records in the Ship pub, Victoria Park and Dec trying not to fall, every hotel, every pint, and Wrighty's 50th (and the 49th that became the 50th). God bless the band for a great year of gigs and the resulting nights and days, and may 2011 bring every success.
The sanest days are mad - why don't you find out for yourself? Fergal

blackburn was a good and bad gig, maybe the worst of the tour? but still a brilliant gig? what do you make of it?
take over the world not charting seriously? suppose its time to see how big the fanbase is beyond the hype?
more people need to see the courteeners? obviously the majority of people on here have never seen the lads? thats how it would seem? maybe ill miss 2011 so it doesnt look so silly?

haha yeah I don't understand that last one either.
I agree about Blackburn though, good gig but not the best of the tour. My favourite gig this year was Blackpool or Ruby Lounge I think, each of them have been absolutely ace though!

The main highlight for me would be seeing The Courteeners @ Lincoln, not just on the basis I finally got to see them live but that performance was so energetic which seemed to get passed on to the crowd. Obviously Falcon was a major highlight, probably not what we expected which isn't a bad thing but definitely shows how much they've progressed, it was a massive f*ck off to the doubters in my eyes. Another highlight for me were the B-sides off the singles, they really treated us to some strong new songs but haven't they always The lads just keep get bigger and better, I can't believe how fast the time has gone by since I first got into them and started this forum! 2011 is going to be another important year, let's hope the new album won't take too long.

Blackpool Empress Ballroom, London's Camden Roundhouse and the gruelling coach journey from Manchester and back (well worth it though), Leeds O2 Acedemy and M.E.N...To name a few highlights of the year.
A big thank you to the Courteeners for a great year that was 2010

I have 3 Courteeners highlights. One was seeing them in Camden, where I was gazing down at the band and the immense mosh from the performer's bar, another is my DVD of that gig, and the final one is my signed Electric Lick EP.
Bring on 2011's Courteeners encounters..
