Thanks. By the way if you come back on, why is The Drums pre-order 12.99? Seems a bit steep, any free stuff with it?

Thanks. By the way if you come back on, why is The Drums pre-order 12.99? Seems a bit steep, any free stuff with it? Hi Sean, The Drums album is ridiculously expensive for us to buy from Universal and £12.99 is the cheapest price we can sell it without it being pointless us having it on the site at all. Unfortunately, being an independent recordshop we don't get the same buying price from Universal as the likes of Play or Amazon. Instead we have managed to get 100 copies signed (which have nearly sold out) to make up for the more expensive selling price. Hope that explains things cheers Steve

big record labels fleecing independents ought to be outlawed. asif play or amazon couldnt afford the same prices the rich get richer. the thing is that the likes of Amazon or Tesco have all the labels over a barrel. If the labels don't give them the discounts they demand they just won't stock the album. BUT, even if they did pay the same as independents they would still sell the records cheaper because they use music as a loss leader to get customers in to buy other products that make them more money. These guys have no love for music that's why it's important to support all independent music shops whether they be high street players like Rough Trade or online like ourselves and Norman Records.
