I said it because it's truth, just because I like the band and it's a forum for them doesn't mean I have to instantly like every aspect of the 'Courteeners' brand. Music is class, that's what matters, shame about the appauling cover art. Nothing wrong with that is there?

I completely agree with Ant here
Just because its a forum 'dedicated to the band' doesn't mean you can't have an opinion, the music is class (all that matters really) but I think the artwork has been pants ever since NYD, NYD
Like the falcon for the new album but the version for You overdid it doll isn't great (but as already mentioned it means f*ck all anyway, music matters and people don't buy singles int' shops)

Agreed, the cover is crap, the first 4 singles were ace, then it's just gone downhill other than 'Cross My Heart...' It could have two meaning's if you read it really? was pretty clear to me, especially with a post on about the same thing before it haha |

after listening to it a fair few times i love it, you can't help but sing along. yeah same here man. bin in london for a few days so i've just started listening to it in the past few mins. dead catchy, sounds dead mature, while at the same time it seems to have that darkness to it that the early stuff had. i'm talking bout tunes like kimberley and aftershow and kings of the new road, but with the obviously less prominent guitar. it's difficult to explain but you know what i mean? might be the deep vocals. i thought the same about cross my heart. We know from sycophant and good times are calling that guitars will feature so i'm not worried. looking forward to a very interesting and very good record  |
