Not having much luck recently! After booking tickets for Morrissey at Liverpool it ended up with me not being able to go & selling them on ebay for a much reduced price. In fact it was Wrighty (off here) who ended up buying them haha So the situation so far: he paid I sent he went moz throw tantrum gig cancelled Obviously now I've got to give wrighty his money back & I sent an email to see tickets. Got an reply saying I had to send the tickets back for a refund.... ...this is where the problem starts... wrighty's other half has lost her ticket & he'd like to keep the other as a souvenir but will send me that back if needed. I've got all the info of the tickets, booking emails etc. Which all leads me to asking has anyone else had this situation before? Just wondering whilst waiting for a reply to my email saying i've lost the tickets, I know it doesn't look good but maybe I can pursue the matter if they say no

I booked my tickets through ticketline and they just refunded my bank account without me having to send the tickets back.
I'd e-mail them and say you've lost the tickets but quote the booking reference. Worth a try.

id just never see morrissey again. worth the money. Until you've been you have no idea how worth the money it is, no live artist comes close whatsoever, it's worth the inconveniences every now and again, it really is.

I would love to see Morrissey, like his solo stuff, not heard loads, but just for the fact that he plays so much Smiths, it has to be worth it!

The Smiths stuff he's playing at the moment is a really good selection as well, at Sheffield City Hall "Nowhere Fast" sounded fantastic but I think that's been dropped now. Boz's reworking of "This Charming Man" is really good, a bold move but a success in my opinion. I got my ticket through eBay and the seller said that once he got a refund, I would get a refund, and last week the refund came through, he dealt with it very well may I add too. I don't think you neccessarily will need the ticket though I still had to send mine back to the seller

Absolutely, this is the second time Morrissey has done this to me (coincidentally the two times I've seen him outside of Manchester) but it won't stop me going again.

being good is no excuse for being unreliable. conversely, i love muse (but you could insert any band somebody loves here) and theyve never pulled something like this. nor have radiohead. or the courteeners. or....
you get the idea, as good as he is, i bet he can smell his own hair gel. (head is very far up with own ass.)

I disagree with you there. The Liverpool gig was the only gig he has pulled this year, and as far as I know in his history, over a personal grudge or grievance. A lot of gigs have been pulled this year but due to a serious illness, and you can't begrudge someone taking time off due to being very ill. He's committed to his fans more than most artists will ever be, regularly releasing new music, always touring, and when he pulls a gig due to illness it means he's ill, he collapsed on stage in Swindow, what more do you want?
A certain gentleman once said "You hiss and groan and you constantly moan, but you don't ever go away - that's because all you need is me"...

true that, but i meant in general (such as pete doherty) and also in response to your "its worth the inconveniences" bit. i agree that illness and collapsing is defo reason enough to miss a gig. and as for the last bit, fans are devoted but thats no excuse for letting them down. your dog will always love you, but you dont hit it just because you can. dont even know who said that quote but i dont like it.

He doesn't let them down often though really, Liverpool was the only blip and that was at the fault of a fan. Hamburg was no real problem, in a classroom, a theatre, a workplace, anywhere but a football ground that would be unacceptable and Moz was right to do what he did, it's the artists prerogative how to deal with it I suppoes. And the quote was Morrissey A single called "All You Need is Me" that was just about how those who hate him seem to hate him with equal passion to those who love him, I was using it tongue in cheek though
