So where are you? And where is he, You need to tell me, I swear don’t you dare, Don’t lie to me, I will find out trust me, And then you need to hide, Just get in for the ride.
If you were me you’d know, You’d know you’ve got nowhere to go.
Stricken by paranoia, I told you the truth, And you didn’t listen, Your honesty is fake, You should’ve told the truth, It’s for your own sake.
You are really not safe, Take my word and use it, You don’t look comfortable, My friend, where you sit. You need to be on your way, Before I arrive I warn, You don’t want it too pass dawn, Because your future will be sealed.
If you were me you’d know, You’d know you’ve got nowhere to go.
Stricken by paranoia, I told you the truth, And you didn’t listen, Your honesty is fake, You should’ve told the truth, It’s for your own sake.
The feeling is overpowering, Do you agree? Do you now know what you need to be? To escape from me, And I’m not a strange person, I’m just rehearsing, You haven’t even seen the show, But you really should go.
idk what its about really, it was influenced by the editors papillion which i guess is pretty dark and i guess the lyrics can be pretty dark.

Don't want to sound like a dick, but I really don't get it. I'd like to hear it with a melody, and with some music, then it may make sense. But to me the lyrics just don't seem to mean anything, I was like this when I used to 'write songs', it just comes out in the same old tat every time something is written. Sorry, don't get it. Maybe you could record something one day and get it up, then I may get it. Feel free to criticise anything I write

I get you in a way yeah, I don't really know what I was writing it about which is weird. It just seemed to sort of come out. If I learned the guitar a bit I would be too afraid to put anything on myspace because I can't sing.

Nah I get it. When you write stuff it's always going to be hard for other people to get it if it's not in music because it's personal to you. But I don't even know what this songs about so it'd be harder for other people to get it if I don't get it myself.

sean just a word of advice from now on, unless you have music to go with it then you should probably just put it in the poets corner.
that aside, the lyrics were very good.

Luke said it better than me Rather than forcing yourself to make it a song, try just writing, doesn't have to be song or whatever, just write it down. This was the way I changed

I'm teaching myself guitar atm. Just learn A minor, C, G, D and E minor. And you can strum loads of cool songs. They're easy chords too. And then once you get the hang of a few chord progressions have a go at finger picking. It's frustrating, but so cool when you get it right. Good luck. x

I didn't learn chord by chord. Fist song I learnt was 'running to stand still' by U2, which only has 4 chords, then I'd just pick other songs which had them chords in, slowly picking up new chords with new songs, took me forever to learn F, but finally got the knack of it playing 'Timeless Melody'. Just go tune by tune, get's dead easy eventually

That's what I'm doing. The first song I learned was Breck Road Lover by Libertines. Then it was New Romantic by Laura Marling (covered by teeners, But The original is SO much better). And I'm currently learning Failure by Laura Marling. The first two are simple chords and strumming patterens. Oasis are always easy too. If you like them.

Jesus, think my second was 'Live Forever', then learnt loads of Courteeners. Just taight myself 'The Masterplan', 'Talk Tonight' and 'Married With Children' amongst a few other Oasis tunes. Learnt La's stuff quickly, 'I Can't Sleep' is a great tune to strum to
