i first heard about them this time last year, They had three songs on there myspace which you could download for free, 'bide your time' 'acrylic (demo)' and 'fallowfield hillbilly'
first heard about liam fray when he done that channel m gig about 'june 2006' and followed the band from there.
first seen them in early feb at the night and day.

for me it was january of 2007 i think, i was on a train and there was a manchester evening news on the floor, i picked it up and started reading and then there was this r8 small bit about a band called the courteeners who are acquiring a dedicated local following or sumat like that and that they sound "unique" but reminiscent of libertines and oasis. i ripped the article out, put it in my pocket, and then went home n found them on myspace. when i heard em i was just like woah

1st time i bumped in to them was when they was supportin the harrisons over a year ago, and i fell in love with them from that moment!

Heard about them back in August time when Cavorting was released. Going to see them for the first time tonight at Newcastle Academy 2 ;D

In a radio interview Liam said that that was their first 'proper' gig so yeah. It was when they had the guitarist who wasn't Conan.

First saw them at the channel m gig with just liam and campbell (didnt go for them though cos i went with my missus to see her mate liam frost headlining the night) and we were both blown away.

I only knew about them a few weeks ago but I was looking through what was on at the Oxford Carling Academy and saw them and I was sure i'd seen them been given a really good review so I went on their myspace and here I am.

They played the castle in Oldham a few times, heard people talkin about this band being great. Then I heard Liam slaggin everyone off so gave em a listen. Loved them
