When you start to think your end will come from smoking this last cig.

Looking at clothes in designer shops.
Thinking the moneys better spent on kitchen tops

When children arrive for all your mates
With your girlfriend checking her menstrual dates

With the end of girls, booze and drugs near
When grey hairs are you biggest fear

When the height of enjoyment is a coronation street repeat
It's over, your time has come....admit it............defeat!!

Ode To Scruff

Alone in a manc bedroom
passing a passing eye avoiding northen gloom

on unknown face's chatting on forums
giving point of view and thought over niffty tunes

The bordom will be broken by trips to distant towns
Playing his songs about past conquest without a frown

Matted hair, fierce demeanor,
Who'd have thought that he could be a Courteener?

Out Come the Wolves and King Kong he does borrow,
But this little bear might find it hard to find sorrow,

From taking influence from other poems that have been,
Us loyal scruff fans wait for the next poem to be seen.

But our little bear will never forget
With the sharp instrument he keeps under his bed

for the doubters and synics who left there mark
like him out of Hard-FI or that w**ker Tom Clarke

He'll ruck on chatrooms, a menace to the net
kicking off at people he's never met

He'll treaten you and he'll treaten me
but our fluffy friend now's in time they'll all see


This little verse is in honur of scruff
for his knife and his fans and his well worn fluff!!!

In fact, in honour of the game of hide and seek that is being played on this forum in relation to your identity I was inspired to put this together. It may or may not be familiar.

Actually, I'm not bothered who you are or are not, whether you are Liam or not, (just in case this suggests I am) but this amused me and allowed me to mess around a bit

if you’d like, by chance, to come along, to their forum
answered prayers, they even followed you to another domain
some poems found, quite a find
you’ve done well to keep all your responses vague

you’ve not actually ever, claimed to be whoever
you know it’s easier to let others arrange
their own thoughts around some of your lyrics that scan
no need to expand, they’re presuming you’re the man

you’re not really him however, pull yourself together

bold, audacious and ever so slightly adventurous
in your plan, milking it for all you can

you’ve made no claims whatsoever
but you’re not him however
as much as you endeavour
