Handbags and Gladrags........Rubbish!! That's not even one of their own songs, it's a cover  I like them. Though I have not heard their newest album yet. Or maybe once. Didn't really like it. The older albums are great. I'm aware that its a Rod Stuwart Cover....its a shit song and there a shit band. Performance & Cocktails & Word Gets around are good but after that......Satus Quo!!! agreed. first 2 albums were good. since then i haven't even paid them the slightest attention and have been bored senseless by them. can't believe they can even sell out an arena tour to be honest

This is a 'best hits' tour so hopefully it will be the classics...thousand matches, local boy in photograph, bartender and the theif...quite like kelly jones - tbf he is a rite caner - 40 fags a day is just the tip of the ice berg...

They played on smooth FM this morning and I made some comment at them being cack and had a full on argument with two lad about it BOTH IN THERE 40's. "There f**k**g ace etc" so I said "The bass players got his own name tattooed on his neck for f**k sake? Who else do you like?" "Guns & Roses, REM, Bon Jovi...there f**k**g great bands" "you two obviously know f**k all about music, don't talk to me anymore" The music snob came out......Shouldn't have been such a knob really and I love an argument over music/clothes/football but not when that kind of filth is being used in the conversation. I hope Liam and the lads get loads of good feedback from it and the "phonics" are going to have to play a blinder at Manchester. Some thing tells me there going to get upstaged!! |

Its a massive chance to show that they can play an awesome arena gig, they'll upstage the phonics, if they were 'fucking ace' they would be headlining more festivals,
Plus it will hopefully show more people how good they are leading to the new album going in at No.1

well I reckon they have asked courteeners to support to increase ticket sales...my sis reckons not but I still think so...
They are advertising it heavily I've had emails from gigsandtours about it and there is a piece on Metro arena website.
At V there were bands further up the bill that got less attention than courteeners...and look how packed the tent was a glasto...and how loud the crowd was...even when I was at leeds fest when they weren't even on I seen loads of Can you play guitar tshirts....
Don't think Sterophonics sold out their last tour either..

My tickets arrived for standing at newcastle yesterday....Cant wait stereophonics are a great band, so are the courteeners...going to be a top gig.
Jones and fray in one night? dont think i could think of much better.
Seeing courteeners at newcastle acad friday cant wait.
