the band said this today : "V Festival was always scheduled as the last UK gig for this 'Dig Out Your Soul' world tour," they explained. "Oasis will complete the rest of the world tour in Europe and then take some well-earned time off before they begin to think about the next album and tour."

my friend told me they'd read in a forum which was posted by a "close friend of the family" that aparently there's going to be an interview with Oasis on thursday where they'll be deciding whether they're carrying on, or something like that. From what i've read Liam really doesnt want to split as he's got songs up his sleeve but he's happy if Noel wants to go it alone if it made him happy.
The media are making it out as if they didnt perform at V because of a fall out but how can that be true when they've never missed a gig ever and they always fall out. Theres no doubt Liam was ill and i also read that Noel came off stage with stomach ache or something like that and he really didnt enjoy the set
I really doubt they'll split but i wonder what this interview is all about

I'm not fussed, not liked anything since Masterplan, but would love a Noel solo album, that could be promising.

There's a rumour that Johnny Marr is going to replace Noelly G and the band will be renamed Oasmiths ...I admit this rumour was started by me - just now - but f*ck it, I reckon that'd be interesting. )

I actually forgot Marr was in Cribs when I downloaded the new album, but once I had it on I thought 'shit that sounds like marr' which reminded me that he joined then last year But yeah, agreed, you can tell it's him straight off. Great music.

I agree, was impressed with their new album so I got the last one out and it doesn't stand out like this one has.
