got a very blur vibe from that, especially with the vox, very nice though, my only criticism would be that its all abit too plodding, get some kasabian bass lines into your tunes or something?
I know what you mean, they were recorded in my bedroom on an 8-track with a drum machine and a bass effect on my guitar. With the drum machine, it's just one solid beat right the way thru, there are no fills or anything to distinguish chorus from verse, or to break it up, which will be a factor aswell. The bass effect on the guitar goes out of tune if you play any string but the top one, so I had to keep it very basic to avoid that and even then it can sometimes sound weird. If you listen at 1:56 on Begging Please you can hear it kinda mutate. When we get in the studio to record it with a proper drummer and all that, it will sound top.
drumming isnt really my thing, more of a guitar player/song writer but i could do a job in the studio if you needed good recordings. couldnt be permanent mainly due to my location
