Im goin next week, anyone on here been before?
where's best to go? looking to go greenwich village and the other student areas etc so just wondered if anyone knows anywhere that they would recommend goin, like music shops/venues shopping, bars and that

never been, alot of family have, and note this down. Do not go to Abercrombe and Fitch, you will have to wait in a long line outside the shop, and ultimately, you will be dissapointed when you get inside, the clothes are very very bland. Other than that, I know nothing of the place.

Holidays to the states pay for themselves if you are doing alot of shopping, you'll save a fortune. This brings me to a story, when the very first ipods came out in the states, my auntie and uncle were over there and spend like $500 on one with all the stuff with it, and they got back and it wouldn't work with their PC ha ha. Still laugh at them to this day about it. So the moral is that if you get anything electronic then make sure it'll work over here.

I'm going at Christmas for new years - think the shops are all over you just do the tourist stuff and the shops are there...when you get back any tips will be greatly received....

top place NYC - went for my 20th birthday so couldnt drink or owt but top gear they sell - costs shit loads some places like bloomindales and macys - but there are lots of small time shops which have some smart gear as well - they look dodgy from the outside but nice stuff in there
shit loads of sports shops, nfl, mlb, nba stuff as well
you won't get bored tho mate

lived in new york for 3 1/2 years - go to the red lion on bleeker near washington square park in the village.
do a search for "crif dogs" - awesome hotdog joint that serves beer until the early hours.
you'll have a blast. the village is awesome.
