to some it up upton, people like to think there hard and can get ladies, and thats the subject matter of modern hip hop. oh and hailey =p. dont be a snob ant =p alot of fans of all that jazz would condemn rock music? although i do in a way agree i guess. lady gaga for example can f**k right off That'd what I mean, Lady Gaga and the sorts, I mean, you are saying 'modern hip hop' but I thought that all hip hop was modern, surely?? So my reference was made to modern rap and hip hop and dance, you know what I mean, but please do broaden my perspective by telling me what hip hop isn't modern. |

what upton mentioned were very good examples. he will know more on the subject than i do. but i dont mind katy perry, lily allen, little boots, and i think the most embarassing thing in our charts is kings of leon!!

Don't know if Kings Of Leon are embarrassing, but they are kind of in the charts for the wrong reasons, you with me. The vast majority of people who have bought their singles hadn't even heard of them until 'Sex On Fire' etc etc, and tbh they probably haven't ever heard of 'Only By The Night', and it's annoying that people don't listen to their better stuff rather than living of 'Sex On Fire'. Pisses me right off.

well yeah ant thats exactly right, kasabian can make a single that doesnt embarass themselves like fire and get to number 2 but kings of leon have to make a diet-u2 album to get more success. shame.

I don't get modern Hip Hop love Rakim, Krs, Beastie Boys, Run Dmc ect. absolutely. Old skool hiphop artists are quality. Anything post 2004 is pretty poor. To be honest stuff in the 00's has not been great. Krs, Gang Star, Wu Tang (and individual albums), Nas, Big L, talib kwali etc, etc to name a few quickly are all quality artists. I also love house music as well. Its good to have a wide variety of stuff you can listen to I reckon. |

I'd love to be into things other than britpop/ indie/ rock n roll/ Fats & Bo etc etc... but I really find it hard, found it hard getting into Fats but he's ace now. Can never see myself getting into many other genres, but I'm honestly happy just into what I'm into, never run out of stuff to hear.

I like some dance music love Drum and Bass bit of Prodigy and Chemical Brothers. |
