I know there must be a few Untied fans on here, so just wanted to hear their opinions on the transfer.
£80 Million is ALOT of money. Personally I would happily take that amount for a player who doesn't want to be at the club adn spend it on a couple of world class players (Villa, Ribery etc)
Thoughts? x

I was waiting for someone to post this.
As a Liverpool fan I find it amusing, all the united fans I've already spoken to have said 'oh well hes over rated anyway' or something along them lines. I would take that money for any player, no player is bigger than their club and 80mil can pay of a hell of alot of debt that the Glaziers went into when buying the club.

i'm delighted the daft nonce has finally packed his bags, bin waiting for this moment since last summer! £80m get in there! although if i were united, i'd've asked for something ludicrous like £100m+. Perez would've coughed up, and if not we could've negotiated down to like £90m. maybe im being greedy firstly, sign up the man from argentina, secondly go for ribery. maybe benzema too, although i worry that he's a bit too similar to rooney. or they could put it towards the debt, that'd be useful.

Ronaldo will be missed and it will be hard to replace how much he brings to the team, for example who will take free kicks now? nobody as good as Ron was
Anyway......over his time at United he has been fantastic and I wish him all the best at Madrid as he has always wanted to go and always was going to eventually
Replacing the 'best player in the world' even though it was messi this season is an impossible task for fergie but as a loyal united fan I trust every decision he makes, we have been so successful and he is very rarely wrong
The money I think will go towards 2 big signings with the rest on the debt, personally we need to sort the midfield out and keep faith that rooney will take the chance that has opened up for him
Ronaldo was never going to be regarded as a legend at United as he was nowhere near loyal enough regardless of the success he helped bring. Someone like rooney however appears to be willing to stay for the rest of his career. United legends give everythign for the club on and off the field, giggs for example
Ron was never going to be another legend as he basically always wanted to f*ck off to madrid, we've just got a hell of a lot out of it, numerous trophies and 80 fucking million, which is a ridiculous amount of money for a footballer
I trust fergie to do whats right for the club and a player that doesn't want to play for united can go especially for that much!
We'll be fine, beckham went, ruud went and we rebuilt, a move from United is always a step down, personally I think teams win trophies not superstar players. Madrid always spend ridiculous money and to be honest it doesn't always work, Beckham won frigg all when he left and I feel it may be the same for Ronaldo
Barca, lpool and us are still stronger sides in my opinion even with the stars they are bringing in
Hope we buy aguero/ribery/silva/villa but will be very, very intersting

think next season will a great season.
i do think hes well overrated though, never seems to turn up against big sides, ive seen him play against liverpool quite alot this season and ive also seen him play against barca and hes done f*ck all, he might dance all over weaker teams but united can manage them anyway, compared to gerrard for example or torres who have a big impact in big games.
think villa would be a very good replacement.

will utd be able to replace ronaldo? the amount of times he has changed a game with his class....nobody abuses the smaller clubs like ronaldo, and he also provides the goods in the massive games. utd will gladly take the £80mil and sign 3 quality players....but can anyone replace him?
no wonder dave whelan comes on sky sports news talking about antonia valencia all of a sudden ha.
