I hope its good, theres a lot of rubbish books about Manchester music it'd be nice to have sumat good to refer to. John Robb is good and the people interviewed is basically everyone so I'm looking forward to it

thanks for flagging that up man, i think i'll get it. I've got "Manchester, England" by Dave Haslam, which is great for chronicling the social history of manchester, in which music is central of course. i recommend it.
Our musical history is something i think we should be very proud of.

Yeah, I might buy "Manchester, England" actually, it looks alright. There's a few Manchester books that are too centred on Factory though, ignoring a lot of the other great music, like assuming Factory and "Madchester" (loathe that term) was the be all and end all of Manchester Music

yh i agree. there was music and excitement in manchester both before and after factory. tony wilson just helped catapult us into the public eye in the 80s/90s, and fair play to him.
