I was shocked to discover that the new England kit is rather nice. I'm not a lover of the football shirt, because......well basically i'm not a fucking chav. But I think the new ones looks cool as f*ck...thinking of getting one... But for some reason theres something telling me I shouldn't I know next summer every inbread idiot in my street will be wearing one.....then i'll get annoyed and have to burn it!!!!

I think I'll give this a miss - not that I don't mind wearing them out in public or ought but I'll just slash it up when they lose the bloody game I'm watching! The last time I wore a shirt to watch a errr... tournament....cant remember which one now England LOST of course! ...I ripped the shirt of my back slashed the sleeves off and scrawled a message on the front!! Only wore it once, since I got some right funny looks ;D Anyway, no I'm not buying another England shirt!

I fucking love cricket, watching it right now, but just a matter of opinioin. The new kit is a nice change, I've not had a football shirt in years, they seem to change every week though.

just like to bring this up here, but i think michael owen will be missed for england! we dont have anyone with his goalscoring ability at the mo, rooney is great but for me heskey/owen up front was always preferable for the team to play more as a team rather than look good on paper. i know he aint fit but it seems capello really isnt keen on him

I like the simplicity of the kit. Not sure if I like the fact it has the Polo Shirt buttons on it (I am sure it does) but the simplicity is nice.
dontask, as a Liverpool fan I can relate to what you are saying. I am a bit Owen fn for obvious reasons. He is a top, top goalscorer, the best we have had for years. However, St mike has not played for weeks due to injury. I dont think Capello can warrant putting him in. The International game is a slow one, but still he would not be ready.

id sooner have him than an off form ablongahor though, owen at least has the ability to score when playing badly!

Michael Owen should never play for England again, he's lost a yard a pace since he's done his knee in. Hes never been the same player since, he needed that extra yard to make him the player he was. Players that can score from 4 yards out are a dying breed, Look at Torres, Rooney Henry all players that can create a goal from nothing (outside the box!!)
I'm glad Cuppello had the bottle to drop him we haven't missed him. We scored 4 goals in our last game......WHY DO WE NEED HIM?? Even with 3 strikers injured for tonights game, we still don't need him.
Theres no point in picking him for the squad for the world cup as there a 85% chance that he WILL be injured.
He joined Newcastle purely for the money, he has no loyalty to the club and will soon disappear when they go down...instead of staying there and justifying his over the top transfer fee and wages. He owes Newcastle football club and all there supporters a great deal and all he's going to do is go to Man City.
He scored one of the best goals an England player has ever scored and he was an exceptional footballer....but that was 10 years ago...he's past it.

Unfortunately fastfuse is right. Owen will never be the player he once was. That injury has been a major issue for him and it has proved to be impossile for him to recapture the form that made him europes best player. How can Fabio justify his selection when he has not played for weeks?
The same happened with Robbie fowler. HE was one of this countries most gifted finishers ever, yet was never the same after his knee injury. Dont get me wrong, he can still find the net, but was half the player after.
Shame.
