Difference between PROMO CD & PROMO CD-R CD?

i want to have all the records & singles & promos,
but what are promo cd-r ?
any different to promo ?
& should i get the promo cd-r aswell as promo

I think young un that CD-R is just what the demo was on a 'CD-R'
or Compact Disc-Recordable.......What do they teach at school these days???

It was just a cheap and cheerful giveway, and i'm sure if you look on the audio thread you can find everything you need?
