Has anyone ever had any super bargains off ebay? I just won both NNF and the WTYSL? vinyl as a package for 5 quid, dead happy, whilst I'm in the dying hours of getting a hand signed u2 piece of sheet music, for 8 quid, dead happy. Got a bid in for the etched WTYSL? vinyl at 99p and all is great. Not used ebay for ages but just wondering if anyone else has found any gems on here.............

I got Cavorting yonks ago for about 5-8 quid when it was goin for 20 most of the time
nearly got the bide your time 7 inch but I think some fakes were floating about and I couldn't warrant spending so much on a freebie anyway
other than that ive got nearly all of the released stuff, just need the cavorting 7 inch but not really trying hard to get that limited 7 inch...........not too thirsty at the moment

Just won an original recording of Revolver by The Beatles in Mono for 15 quid, best buy ever, only lay back is that it is in the sleeve for the stereo version of the album, so a bit mad. Yet it's still a bargain.

Haha, no it's someone in shropshire funnily enough, he's 100% feedback so I'm just going with it, I trust him and I'm not to arsed about the sleeve as long as the rcord is the genuine original press.

meltingpot.fortunecity.com/kirkland/266/btls/uk/uklp.htmTheir you go Mike, an identification guide, the seller gave me a few numbers and I figured it was a second press mono version. Though one thing it mentions is that some copies say 'Doctor Roberts' and some say 'Dr. Roberts', the later of which is the rarer more valuable copy, yet to find out which mine has.

@ mike and antIdentifying a Beatles pressing is a fine art in itself. With all the variations in sleeve credits, manufacture stamps, matrix numbers, labels and even the inner sleeve is a real headache for a seasoned collector. My advice to anyone is to know what you’re bidding on before you bid or you could end up with a stereo/mono marriage maybe even from different pressings. Here’s a good guide to the UK release of Revolver. www.jpgr.co.uk/pcs7009.htmlFor people bidding on rare records try this great little rough guide to its value. homepage.ntlworld.com/kennethdrury/price-guide.htmOn the subject of ebay I just bid what I'm prepared to pay. That way I'm never disappointed and never pay over the odds for items. FFS never pay by cheque EVER.
