Just lookin for some advice really
From Glasgow & travelling down to manchester early june for the oasis arena/stadium tour thing.
Wondering if I would be best staying near the gig venue or in the city centre & if anyone can recommend some hotels?
bearin in mind there is abotu 10 of us troopin down!!

you could stay around the altrincham / sale area,
then get a taxi to the venue ?

Heaton park is fair near the centre. Not been for a few years and it's in a fucking horrible area, dirty as anything, but it's huge. You can just bus it from centre or taxi in 10 minutes.

Id say go the center mate on the day there will be loads of Oasis fans in the center all for the mad crack.

nah i'm sure it'll all be fine lol, but if your after a couple of rooms the city centre might be a bit more expensive. like cb said, sale or altrincham could be better, and the metro runs right into the centre from there.

 , yeah theres a travel lodge right near the altrincham met station, its only a few quid on the met, alot cheaper than a taxi, you could go the city center then get a taxi to park, thats if moneys a issue, otherwise get a room in the city center |

erm yeah there are two great travelodges and they do offers on all the time for £19 a room in the city centre
ancoats is right in the middle so if you wanted to spend some time in town its great but cant get your stuff in till 3ish...what time does the Oasis thing start I would say early as thnk there are a fair few bands playing
Otherwise the airport trains run pretty late and there is a travelodge there which is always pretty cheap
