Yes from going to innocent countries across the globe, taking them over , enforcing our culture upon them and treating the inhabitants in a disgraceful manner, is this something to be applauded?

meant it's in stark contrast... however i still maintain there is a balance to be struck but no, i do not applaud such actions in any way.

the empire was barbaric, it proved our power, but in a way that nobody should have proved it and should ever do again, i do think we've learnt a lot from the empire but a lot of people still think it a great thing and something to be proud of. it did do a lot for the country and boosted our economy massively, but the amount of savagery and cruelty it inflicted over millions across the world is not to be commended at all and the bad things bout it certainly outweigh the few positives

it's both! originally from china, until they put export restrictions on it to europe, so us brits planted tea in india. can't beat a good brew
